Privacy Policy
The short version. The app makes no outbound network requests. No data is transmitted to Zirid or to any third party. The only thing it stores is a small scan summary, kept inside your own Confluence site.
1 Who this covers
This policy applies to the Atlassian Marketplace app Broken Link Checker for Confluence, published by Zirid (“we”). It is a Forge app: it runs on Atlassian’s infrastructure.
2 What the app reads
To find broken links, the app reads: the body of the pages it checks, the status and title of pages those links point at, the status of spaces, and the file identifiers of attachments. It reads with the permissions of the signed-in user who ran the check, so it can never read a page that user could not open.
None of this is transmitted anywhere. It is read, evaluated, and discarded within a single request.
3 What the app stores
For each page it scans, the app stores one Confluence content property containing:
- the number of link problems found, split by whether readers see an error
- the number of links affected
- the page version at the time of the scan
- the date and time of the scan
- the label and tooltip shown under the page title, which restate those numbers and the date
- a format number for the summary itself
No page content, no link text, no link targets, and no personal data are stored. This property lives inside your Confluence instance and inherits its data residency. Zirid operates no storage of its own and holds no copy.
4 Personal data
The app does not collect, store, or process personal data. It reads page ownership identifiers in memory to offer an “Only pages I own” filter; these are never written to storage and never leave the request.
Because no personal data is retained, there is nothing for us to export or erase on request. Uninstalling the app does not delete its scan summaries. They stay on the pages they describe, and they contain no personal data.
5 Third parties, analytics, tracking
None. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no error-reporting service, no cookies set by the app, and no third-party processors. The app is not capable of outbound requests — this is enforced by the app’s own code and by the Forge platform, and is why it carries the Runs on Atlassian designation.
6 External links
The app checks only links to other Confluence pages, sections and attachments within your site. It does not check external web URLs, because doing so would require transmitting your links to an outside host.
7 Security
The app holds no credentials and no secrets. All access is mediated by Atlassian’s Forge platform under the permissions granted at installation, and all scanning runs with the acting user’s own permissions.
8 Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected here with a revised date, and in the app’s Marketplace release notes.
